I remove viruses manually. And if that does not work, reformatting is the best solution.

Rumors say that this anti-virus companies also create viruses for their product to be sold. Easy money! Tsk!

yeah it is a rumor but i read one article and there are many sources of viruses not just those companies... hehehe... i still settle for free either avast or kaspersky. but kaspersky is quite difficult because it is not free and its hard to keys.

Why use products which are not for free? They actually suck! Literally.

Windows have lots of viruses and spywares made especially for them. Why not settle for virus-free OSes like Mac... Better yet, the open-source Linux. Yes, it is for free and virus-free. I actually ordered a CD of Ubuntu Linux from the Netherlands and they sent it to me for FREE!!! Yes, this is no joke.

But if you really need to use Windows, try manual removal of viruses. At least there, you know how do Windows operate. You might also apparently learn their sucking flaws. Windows sucks!

yep but there are many programs that only run on windows and besides manually erasing would be very tiring looking at the registry and using msconfig and checking your system32 folder. i'd rather do one click on the virus and move it to chest or quarantine it so that in case i still need the file i could get it.

Yeah, there are a lot of programs exclusively for Windows... And viruses too!

Now, if it really is that important to use windows programs, Wine is there to help. If that can't be enough, there are a lot of substitute programs available. MS Office, for example has OpenOffice as its substitute.

Why spend thousands of pesos for just a bunch of 1's and 0's? Piracy? Hmm... that will be subject to legal matters.

If it is badly needed to use an anti-virus program, I would settle for a free one. These are, again, a bunch of 1's and 0's anyway... hehehewink
